Performance Modelling Tools
- ANSYS Multiphysics and Workbench v11: These are powerful simulation tools suited to microsystems/MEMS and microfluidics device performance modelling. They permit structural analysis and the analysis of fluid flow and thermal, electrostatics, magnetostatics, electromagnetics, piezoelectric, piezoresistive and acoustics behaviour. They also permit coupled physics analysis, e.g. thermal-structural, piezoelectric- or piezoresitive-structural, electrostatic- or magneto-structural, acoustics-structural, electromechanical circuit simulation, fluid-thermal or structural, thermal-electric or electromagnetic, and fluid-electromagnetic.
- Fluent: This is a powerful fluidic system analysis tool especially suited to the modelling of microfluidic systems and BioMEMS devices.
- MathCAD v11: This is a powerful technical calculation tool.
- MatLab v 7.1 & Simulink: MatLab is a popular engineering modelling tool, which includes many toolboxes dedicated to specific applications. Simulink is one of the toolboxes, which is used to explore the behaviour of dynamic systems including electrical circuits, RF devices, mechanical and thermodynamic systems.

- Autodesk Inventor V10: This is a powerful 3D design tool.
- Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2006: This is a powerful mechanical design tool.
- EdgeCAM Part Modeller V12: This is a mechanical and 3D design tool.
- Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2006: This is a mechanical design tool.
Mask Layout Tools
- L-edit v11: This is a standard semiconductor industry layout tool especially suited to mask/reticle design.
- CleWin v2.9: This is a basic mask design tool.
- Atlas1500: This is a dedicated tool for reticule design for our Ultratech stepper. It is used to generate the process program and wafer layout.
- AutoCAD 2000: This is a general purpose drawing tool.
- Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2006: This is a mechanical design tool.
Computer Aided Manufacturing Software
- EdgeCAM v12: This is a powerful tool to create CAM models, manufacturing processes and CNC programs. EdgeCAM can be used in conjunction with our CNC micro-milling tool.
