FTIR

FTIR provides a molecular fingerprint of a material based on the absorption of infrared radiation. The absorption peaks relate to the frequency of vibration of chemical bonds between the atoms of the sample. It can therefore be used to identify the components of a material, quantify its composition, and indicate its quality or material consistency.
