R&D
INEX acts as an ISO9001:2000 certified research and development partner for companies and consortia, in addition to performing internal R&D in areas of strategic interest.
It can perform exploratory research to identify potential process and device development options and de-risk investments. It can do this for individual companies and groups of companies with common interests - for example in a process, a design rule, or a generic device or technology.
It is an experienced partner in national and European (e.g. Framework Programme 6 & 7) collaborative R&D projects, having successfully performed project conception, bid preparation, coordination, work-package management, and sub-contracting roles. This business activity is supported by financial, contract, legal and IP experts within INEX and Newcastle University, all of which have familiarity with multi-party multi-national collaboration agreements.
Key discriminators are the breadth of multidisciplinary expertise available within INEX, and its strength in project and risk management. Our doctoral level staff includes molecular and cell biologists, physicists, chemists, and semiconductor process and device engineers with distinguished track records in both public and private sector research and development environments.
